Embedded Software Developer Utrecht

Would you like to collaborate with industrial designers, hardware and other software developers in one team? And develop innovative wearables that improve people’s lives? Then please read on…

Who are we?

We are a growing company, specialised in developing wearables that integrate electronics and textiles, with a focus on haptic feedback applications. Together with partners from the health and safety/professional sectors we develop wearables from concept all the way to market-ready products, and anything in-between. We also partner with universities to develop and apply new scientific knowledge.

We work in multidisciplinary Agile teams on multiple projects that can vary in length and do most of our research and development in-house at our office and Wearables Lab. We value curiosity and creativity in our people and our projects reflect that.

We imagine a future where smart clothing is all around us, where e-textiles improve quality of life on many levels and the technology is applicable in everyday products. One thing all our projects have in common is that they add real value: for example, our BalanceBelt allows people with balance disorders live normal lives again, our Mission Navigation Belt keeps soldiers in the field safer and our NeuroShirt will help reduce the cognitive load for neurosurgeons during surgeries.

Our current challenges

At any moment, we have about 5 projects running alongside each other, so there is often a need to switch between projects. Some of these projects are in a Proof of Concept phase and others are at a market-ready level (including conforming to standards).

We set up the software in a such a way that we can develop wearables quickly. This includes making it is easy to maintain and keeping it in a releasable state. During these developments we always look for a good fit between software and hardware. To oversee the implications and design the architecture or SOC, we need your help.
