Military Wearables Development: Advanced technology for soldier performance
Transforming military operations with innovative wearables
At Elitac Wearables, we specialise in the design and development of cutting-edge military wearables to enhance soldier performance, enhance situational awareness, and ensure mission success. Our wearables are designed to withstand the extreme conditions, providing real-time monitoring of movement, providing direct (haptic) feedback, and high quality bio-data analysis for the support of soldiers in the field.

How military wearables can benefit the dismounted soldier in the field
In general, at Elitac Wearables we believe that that wearables can improve people’s lives by helping them to:
- perform better
- live healthier
- work safer
How soldiers can perform better with military wearables
One way to help soldiers perform better, is to optimise their training. This can be achieved by to actively monitor how a soldier is doing both physically as well as mentally. By making use of technology – wearable and other – we can nowadays much better monitor soldiers during and after their activities, even on a personal level. This way, the training and exercices can be customised per person, improving their performance.
Have a look at our Flight Sense System, an ECG, heart rate, activity and respiration monitor, specifically designed to monitor a pilot before, during and after flight throughout the day, to gain insights on their health status and battle-readiness.

Improving work safety with military wearables
The data gathered with the Flight Sense System can also give insight on the stress or workload of a soldier. In the example of the pilot, one can think of situations where the pilot is under severe stress. You might know that the cockpit of a fighter jet can be very overwhelming. It is like an operating system with several displays and hundreds of buttons and switches, each with life saving and altering functions.
In a stressful situation, some tasks (and related buttons) will be more relevant than others. What if we could monitor the stress and workload levels of a pilot individually, and adapt and provide the information we give to the pilot based on their ability.
Sounds wonderful, right? Well, we can!

Health: life or death critical decision making
We foresee that in the future, having medical grade health data measured on the person, can really help medics in the daunting event of wounded soldiers in the field. By having real-time accurate data of the wounded soldier, doctors can make better informed decisions, how or even if to treat a patient.
And maybe one day, wearable technology can help with automated triage…

Flight Sense System: health monitoring in action
The Flight Sense System provides fighter pilots and soldiers real-time, continuous bio-monitoring; tracking vital signs such as heart rate, ECG, respiration, and activity (acceleration). This ensures pilots and soldiers are safe and responsive in operation.
Some key features of our military wearables:
- Vital sign monitoring (such as ECG, heart rate, SpO2, respiration, activity, EMG, core body temperature and more)
- Stress monitoring
- Real time haptic navigation
